Crammed Organisms
In the middle of April I found out that I was accepted into St. Louis’ first plush show, Cranky Yellow’s “Crammed Organisms.” I created 4 pieces for the show…some little guys I like to call “Treeple” - ha! Anyway, in keeping with the “Fairy, Folk & Fable” theme of the show I created some fantasy tree guys (sort of like the ones that throw apples at Dorothy).
The cool thing about this show is that it is a 4-part plush extravaganza…lasting the whole month of June! On Friday, June 6, 2008 the first of the 4 shows opened at Starclipper comics. It was a good time! Next week’s show will be at an outdoor art market in front of the Cranky Yellow store!
ANOTHER cool thing about this show is the limited-edition book that they had printed in time for the opening. All participating artists got a copy! Wooo!
There will be some for sale soon in the Cranky Yellow Etsy Shop

Mary Engelbreit’s Home Companion Magazine (is a little sketchier this month!)
Awesome news! I’m appearing in the June/July ‘O8 issue of Mary Engelbreit’s Home Companion Magazine! My friends and I did a photo shoot with them way back in July of LAST year! That’s how far ahead they work! Anyway, my hair is a different color now, but one thing remains the same…Me and my gang of artists still love to have color-coordinated picnics in the park EVERY Sunday! *wink*

Myriad #2 - The Fable of the Twin Tigers
Well, I can’t say that I’ve been doing a very good job updating my blog, but I HAVE been doing a slightly better job at doing other things these past couple of months. Saturday, April 26th at the Cape Girardeau, MO comic-con the 2nd issue of Myriad debuted featuring my artwork and Steve Higgins’ writing. My partner-in-crime, Nick Main, was featured artist for the first issue.
Myriad is a short fable about some very saucy tigers. Available for purchase on etsy
